This ETA arm provides Down Force Assistance (also called Power Assist) while tool spindle is turning. This arm is ideal for self-threading fasteners and self-drilling fasteners.
Onboard Down-Force-Logic senses when air motor is turning and changes direction of float cylinder so that it pulls arm downward, lessening or eliminating force required by operator to drive fastener.
As soon as tool shuts off, the float mode resumes, allowing operator to float arm away from the driven fastener. Amount of down force applied and reaction time of applied force are adjustable. Down-Force-Logic is self-contained; therefore no air tool modification is required.
