Move More Air With Less Energy

Industrial Blowers

Blowers do the heavy lifting on processes that need high-volume, low-pressure air: pneumatic conveying, air knives, drying, surface cleaning, aeration, and aquaculture. They also run constantly, which means the blower you pick today shows up on your electric bill every month for the next 15 years. Air Components supplies and services the full Kaeser blower line across Michigan.

Why Blower Selection Matters

Most blowers run 24/7, so even small efficiency differences add up. A poorly chosen blower can cost an operation:

Tens of thousands of dollars a year in wasted electricity at constant-load operation

Process inconsistency from pulsation in conveying lines or uneven airflow on knives

Oversized installations stuck running at part-load for years

Frequent gearbox or bearing service on aging rotary lobe packages

Noise and vibration that fail OSHA limits or disturb adjacent operations

No visibility into what the blower is doing until it stops doing it

Rotary Lobe Blowers

Key Specs

The proven, cost-effective workhorse. Kaeser's Omega series uses tri-lobe rotors to reduce pulsation and noise compared to traditional two-lobe designs. Lower upfront cost makes this the right pick for steady-state applications and budget-driven projects.

  • Omega tri-lobe rotors with minimized pulsation
  • Gauge pressure up to 1000 mbar; vacuum operation also available
  • Sized from sub-10 HP up through mid-range industrial duty
  • Lower capital cost than screw or turbo technology

Applications

  • Pneumatic conveying of bulk materials
  • Steady-state aeration
  • Dust extraction
  • Smaller-scale process air for manufacturing

Rotary Screw Blowers

Key Specs

The energy-efficient upgrade. Kaeser's EBS and FBS rotary screw blowers use SIGMA profile rotors to deliver up to 35% better efficiency than conventional rotary lobe designs. They shine on variable-demand processes and applications where energy cost is the main driver of total cost of ownership.

  • Up to 35% lower energy use than rotary lobe at the same duty
  • Sized 25 to 335 HP, flows up to 5,650 CFM
  • Pressure versions for up to 9 PSIG and up to 16 PSIG
  • Plug-and-play packages with Sigma Control 2 and variable speed drive options

Applications

  • Air knives and high-velocity drying lines
  • Pneumatic conveying with variable batch demand
  • Process aeration where energy cost matters
  • Plants with internal energy-reduction targets

Turbo Blowers

Key Specs

High-speed, oil-free performance for large-flow, low-pressure work. Kaeser turbo blowers use permanent magnet motors with magnetic bearings, so there's no gearbox, no oil, and almost no wear. Built for the biggest aeration jobs.

  • Permanent magnet motor with magnetic bearings (no mechanical contact)
  • Oil-free air delivery
  • High flow rates at low pressure differentials
  • Lowest maintenance footprint of the three technologies

Applications

  • Municipal wastewater aeration (activated sludge, MBR, SBR)
  • Membrane bioreactors and digester mixing
  • Flue gas desulfurization
  • Large-scale aquaculture

Not Sure Which Blower You Need?

Blower selection comes down to a few hard numbers and a few questions about how your process runs. Our team will measure your demand profile, model the energy cost of each technology over the equipment's life, and recommend the blower that pays back fastest for your operation, not the most expensive one on the shelf.

50+ Years of Customer Trust

Quick Response to service needs, offers alternatives to new and provides loaner assistance when needed. Good Service provider.

We (Eagle Industrial) were using an old 50 HP air compressor, with little knowledge of what our true requirements were for air capacity, or what our electric usage was from this outdated piece of equipment. Air Components was able to do various tests and conclude that we could purchase a new 30 HP Kaiser air compressor that would be more than enough for our needs. They also made us aware of rebates available to us, to make this transition easier. The result is we run more efficiently, use less power and have better (more constant airflow) than before, while running a more reliable, newer piece of equipment. Our electric costs have also gone down in this process. We appreciate what Air Components and Kaeser were able to bring to the table for us.

Jeff Gillman and Rich Farmer are top notch. If I need anything or need to bounce some ideas off of someone, they are always right there and willing. Jeff provides exceptional customer service stopping in to see our team once or twice per week just to check in. It’s also nice to deal with his “No Pressure” type of approach. The entire team at Air Components is a pleasure to deal with.
