Industrial Assembly Tools

Fastening Backed by an In-House Repair Center

Assembly tools decide whether a joint is right the first time. They also run thousands of cycles a shift, so a tool that drifts out of spec produces bad product until somebody catches it. Air Components supplies and repairs assembly tools from Ingersoll Rand, Cleco, Panasonic, ASG, and 200+ other brands across Michigan.

50+ Years of Customer Trust

Quick Response to service needs, offers alternatives to new and provides loaner assistance when needed. Good Service provider.

We (Eagle Industrial) were using an old 50 HP air compressor, with little knowledge of what our true requirements were for air capacity, or what our electric usage was from this outdated piece of equipment. Air Components was able to do various tests and conclude that we could purchase a new 30 HP Kaiser air compressor that would be more than enough for our needs. They also made us aware of rebates available to us, to make this transition easier. The result is we run more efficiently, use less power and have better (more constant airflow) than before, while running a more reliable, newer piece of equipment. Our electric costs have also gone down in this process. We appreciate what Air Components and Kaeser were able to bring to the table for us.

Jeff Gillman and Rich Farmer are top notch. If I need anything or need to bounce some ideas off of someone, they are always right there and willing. Jeff provides exceptional customer service stopping in to see our team once or twice per week just to check in. It’s also nice to deal with his “No Pressure” type of approach. The entire team at Air Components is a pleasure to deal with.

Why Tool Selection Matters

Most assembly tools run every shift, so the wrong pick shows up in your scrap rate. A poorly chosen tool can cost an operation:

Rework and warranty claims from joints that were never at spec

Line stoppages when a tool drops out of tolerance mid-shift

Operator injury claims from vibration and reaction torque

Failed customer audits when torque data cannot be produced

Transducerized capability paid for on joints that never needed it

Downtime waiting on a repair shop that does not stock your parts

Choose Your Assembly Tool

Pneumatic Tools & Accessories

Key Specs

Air-powered screwdrivers, nutrunners, and impact wrenches for high cycle rates and continuous duty. Lower tool cost and lighter weight than comparable electrics.

  • Shut-off, clutch, and direct-drive models
  • Inline, pistol, and angle configurations
  • Lubricated and non-lube designs
  • FRLs, hose, and fittings to support the drop

Applications

  • Automotive assembly
  • Furniture manufacturing
  • High-cycle repetitive fastening
  • General industry production lines
Cleco 19 Series pneumatic tool family

Electric

Key Specs

Corded tools with torque and angle control for joints that have to be documented. Clutch-style models handle routine fastening; transducerized models report every rundown.

  • Clutch-style and transducerized models
  • Torque and angle control with data output
  • Error-proofing and traceability for documented joints
  • Controller and fixtured-spindle options

Applications

  • Medical device assembly
  • Documented torque joints
  • Mixed-model assembly lines
  • Quality-audited production
Cleco NeoTek corded tool and controller

Battery-Powered (Cordless)

Key Specs

Lithium-ion tools that put accurate torque anywhere on the floor without an air drop or a cord. Useful on lines that reconfigure and in field service work.

  • Lithium-ion platforms with swappable packs
  • Clutch and transducerized versions
  • Wireless data output on select models
  • Fewer trip hazards with the hose and cord gone

Applications

  • Flexible and reconfigurable lines
  • Field service and installation
  • Final assembly and touch-up
  • Areas without air supply

General Assembly & Material Removal

Key Specs

Drills, die grinders, sanders, and percussion tools for fabrication and finishing. Vibration-reduced designs lower operator exposure on long-duration work.

  • Governed and non-governed grinders
  • Straight, angle, and extended configurations
  • Chippers, scalers, and needle scalers
  • Vibration-reduced housings from Honsa

Applications

  • Foundries
  • Weld finishing
  • Fabrication and machine shops
  • Deburring and surface prep

Bits, Sockets & Hand Tools

Key Specs

The consumables that decide whether a good tool performs. A worn socket will scatter your torque readings long before anyone thinks to blame it.

  • Impact and industrial-grade sockets
  • Insert bits, power bits, and bit holders
  • Torque wrenches and hand drivers
  • Metric and imperial in standard and deep lengths

Applications

  • Every assembly cell running a powered tool
  • Tool crib stocking
  • Rework and repair stations
  • Maintenance departments

Torque Verification Tools

Key Specs

Equipment that proves your tools are driving fasteners where the print says they should. Pairs with our calibration service, so you can test on the floor and certify on the bench.

  • Bench-mount and inline rotary transducers
  • Torque wrench testers and analyzers
  • Joint simulators for hard and soft joint testing
  • Data collection for quality documentation

Applications

  • Quality labs
  • PPAP and customer audit support
  • Preventative tool maintenance programs
  • Periodic tool certification

Not Sure Which Tool You Need?

Tool selection comes down to the joint, not the catalog. Tell us the fastener, the torque range, the cycle rate, and how the joint gets documented, and we will bring options that fit the work rather than the most tool we can sell you.
